Turkey  Neck, Turkey Gizzards, Turkey Meat

Darwin’s cage-free poultry is responsibly sourced. We personally visit every farm that raises the animals we use in our foods to ensure good farming practices and respectful treatment of animals and employees.

Beef Liver

These nutrient-rich organs are derived from free-range, grass-fed animals free of added hormones, steroids, and antibiotics. Darwin’s visits each farm that raises its meat to ensure good farming practices, quality animal feed, and proper treatment of animals and farm workers.

Mushrooms (Maitake, Shiitake)

Shiitake mushrooms, part of the Lentinula edodes species, contain l-ergothioneine and the immune-boosting polysaccharide.

Whole Dried Eggs

Eggs are nature’s perfect food: rich in antibodies, functional proteins, and key nutritional components. EggMotion™ (a unique forms product developed by Trouw Nutrition specifically for pets) combines the nutrition of eggs with specific IgY antibodies that help maintain pets’ natural immune system in times of challenges or stress. EggMotion™ is also highly palatable.

Blackberries, Blueberries, and Raspberries

A whole-food antioxidant, these types of berries contain ellagic acid, anthocyanosides, and flavonoids that scavenge free radicals.

Cod Liver Oil

Cod liver oil is a whole-food source of vitamin D and natural alternative to synthetic vitamin D.

Spirulina

This super green food is rich in antioxidants and contains a high concentration of vitamins and minerals. Known for its healing properties, spirulina can boost the immune system.

Fish Oil

Generally speaking, smaller fish contain less contamination than larger fish. This EPA/DHA 18/12 fish oil derived from sardines is the safest and healthiest form of omega.

Green Tea

Green tea is a whole food that contains extremely powerful antioxidants called epigallocatechin-3- gallate, or EGCG. This substance scavenges free radicals and greatly increases the antioxidant load.

Frequently Asked Questions

Dogs should be fed 2-4% of their body weight per day. One Darwin meal patty is equivalent to an 8oz. cup of dry dog food. For weekly and monthly calculation, the following can be used as a guide:

  • A 10Ib dog will eat 2-2 ½Ibs per week or 10Ibs per month
  • A 25Ib dog will eat 8Ibs per week or 32Ibs per month
  • A 75Ib dog will eat 10-10 ½Ibs per week or 42Ibs per month
  • A 100Ib dog will eat 14Ibs per week or 56Ibs per month

Feeding guidelines may vary based on your dog’s age, size, weight, and activity level. If you are confused about how much to feed your dog, we offer free menu consultation by phone or email. We also recommend monitoring your dog’s weight so you can adjust his diet for weight gain or loss.

For any healthy adult pet, we don't recommend cooking Darwin's meals. It's best to simply thaw and serve. This is all to preserve the nutrients and to ensure the meals remain species-appropriate.

If your pet is under 4 months of age, or has a compromised immune system, we recommend lightly sautéing over medium to medium-high heat for 8-12 minutes.
